Failing is fine, accepting failure is disastrous- By Sonal Jain
Failure brings heartbreak but also a lesson for a lifetime. The reasons for failures can be many such as low confidence, inconsistency, negative attitude, poor self-esteem, low persistence to do anything. But there is hardly anyone who has not tasted failure.
5 ways to turn your failures into strength-
- Start with acknowledging your mistakes-

It is important to accept that there has been a mistake. The first step to overcome your failures is to accept the mistakes and self-acceptance is not easy. Most of us are embarrassed by failures which are why acceptance becomes uneasy. Own up your mistakes, re-gain your confidence and begin again.

- Learning from mistakes is important-

When you taste failure in life, do not immediately get over it and lose hope. It is important to sit back, relax, and analyze the mistake. Try to find loopholes because it is the only way to learn from the mistakes and finish the goal.

- Do not let failures define you-

Living in denial about a failure in life and being afraid to talk about it can hamper all the new possibilities of the future. It is necessary to talk about things that happened in the past and then re-work everything. Do not let your failure define you because even better opportunities are waiting for you.

- Fear of failure is your biggest enemy-

The fear of failure stops you from trying new things. It is a bigger disaster than failure because it ends your opportunities to learn. Remember to try new things without inhibitions and, maybe you will find the answers to your questions.

 - Inconsistency can lead to failure-

The famous phrase ‘Consistency is the key’ comes into the picture here. Being consistent, upgrading yourself with knowledge and, constant efforts will never let you fail. You may lose motivation, dedication, and opportunities if you are inconsistent.

A learning experience for a lifetime-
Failure brings a learning experience for all of us. When you learn from the mistakes done, it immediately helps your progress. When you see a little child grow, especially when they are learning how to walk. They fall a hundred times, but the next day they try it again.
Even after you fail, wake up, fix your ponytail and begin again. Do not let the world point fingers at you. Show them the willpower you possess and climb the ladder of success. It is a part of life and, all of us need to learn from it. A learning experience that can come after you have tried enough.

Why accepting failure is disastrous?
Failing at any task or in life is alright only until you accept the defeat. Accepting failure means accepting the defeated life has chosen for you. It is a phase I would not even wish for my biggest opponent because once you accept failure, you stop believing in yourself.
The world seems to crash and, so does your life. It disapproves of your talent, strength, and energy. It does not let you overcome the tough phase that can one day transform into a bright future. One may even start comparing self to others and degrade one’s self.
If you fail, you only lose an opportunity. But if you accept the failure, you lose yourself. Even the most successful people today, have failed at some point. No success is achieved until the failure has hit the rock bottom. But what you need to remember is to always stand up for yourself, re-learn things and go for it.
One must not stop dreaming because the dreams are crashing. There is always a ray of hope, scope to learn, and things to prove.

People play an important role-
After every success, you might be surrounded by people congratulating you, but the testing time begins when people are there to stand beside you during the failures. We all need someone who can constantly tell us that we are worth it. Someone who can guide, or listen, or empathize or make us laugh during tough times.
People who can constantly motivate you without asking for anything in return. That is a big deal and, only a few people can be a part of it.
My encounters with failure-
- Like every other teenager, I also dreamt of things that I had no control over. I wanted to be the Ms. Freshers in my college time because I heard stories of its celebrations and how special that day becomes. But as I grew and as the day came closer, my low self-confidence accepted the fact that I can never be titled Ms. Freshers.
 - It was the time when I accepted failure even before the results. But then, the impossible turned into possible. I became Ms. Freshers in college. That day I did not know how to react and, all I knew was that it was a life-changing experience. Something that I will never forget. Read my experience When I became Ms. Freshers

- Another recent incident is related to my blog. After I wrote my first blog, I was unable to write anything for the next four months. It was an irrational fear of failing at writing or being inconsistent and hitting the creative block in this journey.
 - That fear made me lose four months altogether but, now things have drastically changed. I have stopped caring about the future and started writing two blogs per week now. By any means, I do not want to lose the streak and, for that, I will not worry about failing at it. I would work on myself and my speed to somehow finish two blogs a week.

Small or big, all kinds of failures teach you something.
Be ready and prepared to find the signs life is offering you in the form of failures.
